With the Cricket World Cup in India fast approaching, teams will be looking to test and prepare many of their players to get them ready for the biggest tournament in ODI cricket.

Despite already locking horns in one of the biggest battles cricket has to offer in The Ashes, England are looking to get their boys even more prepared by challenging one of the world’s best.

England vs New Zealand in cricket competition is often a close affair and provides an interesting contest for players and fans alike.

With the Kiwis coming to England for their latest tour on these shores, find out the important details for the set of games coming up across September.

England vs New Zealand cricket dates

There will be a series of eight games across 16 days starting from 30th August and running until 15th September.

The eight games will be split into two formats, with the first four being IT20’s and the remaining four will be ODI’s.

With that split, the four IT20 games will be played from Wednesday 30th August to Tuesday 5th September, and the four ODI’s will be played from Friday 8th to Friday 15th September.

Each fixture will be played at a different venue, with the series heading to some of the most iconic grounds in the UK.

England vs New Zealand IT20

  • 1st IT20 – Wednesday 30th August at Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street, County Durham
  • 2nd IT20 – Friday 1st September at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester
  • 3rd IT20 – Sunday 3rd September at Edgbaston, Birmingham
  • 4th IT20 – Tuesday 5th September at Trent Bridge, Nottingham

England vs New Zealand ODI

  • 1st ODI – Friday 8th September at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff, Wales
  • 2nd ODI – Sunday 10th September at Ageas Bowl, Southampton
  • 3rd ODI – Wednesday 13th September at The Oval, London
  • 4th ODI – Friday 15th September at Lord’s, London

England vs New Zealand cricket squads

England and New Zealand will have two squads of 15 for each series, with the squad differing slightly depending on who plays best in a certain format.

Both sides have seen injuries to some players since announcing the squads so have had players replaced.

After announcing he will return to 50-over play for this year, Ben Stokes has gladly been accepted back into the England ODI squad - much to the delight of basically the whole of England.
